The importance of continuing education

Continuing education has become a priority in several professional sectors. The WHO (World Health Organization) has already expressed itself in favour of continuing education for all medical and paramedical professions. In North America, the British Isles and Italy (since January 2003), continuing education is compulsory for ophthalmologists, optometrists and opticians. It will be the same for many other countries in the years to come. Tomorrow, continuing education will be compulsory, but today, it is already necessary to keep updated with new technologies and also to keep up with the demands from presbyopes.
